Armando Ballesteros
Armando was born and raised in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood on the city’s west side. He received his B.A. from Columbia College Chicago in Film/Video where he also minored in both Poetry and Latin American Studies. Armando was accepted to the American Film Institute’s famed Cinematography program, where he received his MFA in 2005. Since then, Armando has worked extensively as a Cinematographer, shooting such features as the horror/comedy “Devil in My Ride” for Gary Michael Schultz (Red Band Films) and the drama, “Take Care” for Scott Tanner Jones (Plainview Films). He has also served as the Chief Lighting Technician (“Gaffer”) on the films “Like Crazy” (Sundance Festival Grand Jury Prize Winner), “Parts Per Billion” (starring Rosario Dawson, Josh Hartnett, Frank Langella, and Gena Rowlands), “Intramural” (Premiered at Tribeca Film Festival), and Lynn Shelton's "Outside In" (opened Toronto International Film Festival); as well as the television shows 'Casual' (Hulu) and 'Those Who Can't" (TruTV). Armando currently resides in Los Angeles, CA, on the east side, where he still cheers on Chicago’s Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, and the 2016 World Series Champs, Cubs.
